Currently, I am...

This post is inspired from a post that Katie did the other day over at Keep Calm & Carry On. Thanks for the idea :)

Reading: Currently, nothing. With the move and working at the house, I pretty much just go to bed. Hopefully, I can get back into reading soon! Feel free to leave me some suggestions in the comment box.

Watching: Last season of Dexter. We are too cheap to pay for HBO so we just wait and watch Dexter a season later than everyone else. Even though it sometimes gives me nightmares, I love it!

Thinking About: All of the upcoming holidays!! Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas—I’m so excited! I’m going to try to be really good this year and start my Christmas shopping early. I’ve been trying to come up with ideas but we’ll see how that goes… I try to shop early every year and it never seems to go as planned. Oops!

Loving:  Anything s’mores right now. You can ask D…I’m OBSESSED with all things s’mores these days. I’ve made s’mores waffles that I got from a Hungry Girl email. For a little treat after dinner, I’ve been broiling an indoor s’more in our toaster over. If you follow me on Pinterest, you’ll see that I’ve pinned a lot of s’more recipes to try. Something about fall gets me in the mood for s’mores!! Who’s with me?!

Looking Forward To: Making our Halloween costumes tonight. We’re going to a Halloween party on Friday night, so I’ve got to get to work on them. I think we came up with a pretty good idea this year, but we’ll have to wait and see if everyone else brings their A game on Friday night!

Wondering: If we’ll ever get above 20 followers on this blog haha. I know that some people follow us through email. If you comment and check in our blog from time to time, please follow us. We like to know who’s reading our posts so we can try to appeal to our (small) audience!
Cooking: Soups and stews. On this week’s menu for lunch? Turkey chili! I found this recipe on Pinterest and made a big batch (minus the red bell pepper) on Monday night to take for lunches this week. I ran out of chili powder and accidentally overcompensated with red pepper flakes and cayenne. My first sample of the chili made me cry it was so spicy. Google to the rescue! I added a little brown sugar and it helped take away some of the heat. The husband approved so I’ll consider it a Domestic Diva win!

Making Me Happy: Looking at these pictures from my niece’s 6 year old birthday party. We had so much fun at Chuck E Cheese’s with her on Sunday afternoon. Obviously, she had a good time too! Ahhh, to be a kid again…

Fill in some of the blanks and let us know what's going on with you! What are you reading, cooking or looking forward to this week? We'd love to hear from y'all. Hope you have a great rest of your week!
