This One's a Keeper

Hey y'all--we made it to Wednesday! Just hang in there until Friday :)

Let’s just go ahead and face the fact that we’re all gonna gain a few extra pounds during the holidays due to all of the amazing treats, parties, Secret Santa gifts, and family get-togethers that are about to happen! In an effort to help you achieve this goal, I am going to share a delicious recipe with you today #sorryimnotsorry.

For as long as I can remember, my aunt has made the most delicious Chex Mix every year. Don’t ask me why we only have it at Christmas time, but we do. I like to think of this recipe as a family secret but it’s probably just from the back of the box or something. Just go with it and get ready to pin this recipe. It’s a keeper!
Aunt Lisa’s Chex Mix
1 large box Crispix
1 box Multigrain Chex (you can use whatever kind you want; you can also be extra fancy and half a box of two different types)
1 bag Bugles
½ of a 1 pound bag of tiny-twist pretzels
1 can of cashews
1 pound bag of pecans

Melt together: 2 ½ sticks of butter; 2 T Worcestershire; 2 t seasoning salt; 2 t garlic powder; and 2 t celery salt.

Drizzle over mix of dry ingredients and stir really well. Bake at 250 degrees for one hour—stirring every 15 minutes.

Y’all, this stuff is so addicting. I say the pecans make it but Dustin says that the Bugles make it. Either way this stuff is good! It makes A TON so be prepared to share it with your friends and family. Hope you enjoy!!

  3. Yum! Chex mix is a staple at our house at Christmas. I like to add m&ms or chocolate chips to it for a sweet and savory blend. Nice recipe!
